I Am Here for You

I know you, I see you, and I feel your struggle to release  (I don’t like the word “lose,” that means you have to “find” it again), 50 pounds or more.  It’s a daunting and often terrifying task. I know the frustration, anger, sadness, and agony you feel when someone says, “Why don’t you just eat less, or you should workout more, or you should really slim down.”

However, my personal favorite is, “You’re getting too big, you need to watch it.”  Thank you genius, I had no idea. Watch what exactly? I know exactly how big I am. But now that you pointed that out, “Wow, thank you for dropping that knowledge bomb, problem solved.”

I am you. I used to weigh well over 300 pounds (it’s still painful to write that). So, today take a stand with me and let’s burn the word “dieting,” I’m over it, I’m sure you are too. I’m going to tell you a secret hidden in plain sight…

…It doesn’t have to be that way.

I want to help you overcome emotional overeating, release the weight for good, and free yourself from dieting.  I know you want to feel incredible, look fabulous, have unstoppable energy, and gain more confidence – and it’s my mission to help you get what you really want.

I’m sure you’ve been too tired, too upset, too confused, and too overwhelmed by life to focus on yourself and your health.  Life beats you up and how you feel about yourself has the biggest impact on how you live your life. It’s your time now. When’s the last time you focused on you?

I spent the first 30 years of my life living timidly and caring about everyone else’s needs before my own.  I tiptoed through life. I was careful not to make waves, or really do what my soul craved – because I was waiting…

…Waiting to become “skinny” enough.  Waiting to “lose the weight,” before I truly lived.  I spent my 20’s saying when I get to this size, then I’ll do that or then I’ll take that trip, or then I’ll have that adventure, or then I’ll find true love.

After surviving a life-threatening hospitalization, from the outside I looked like I had it together I was the stylish big girl with a “pretty” face. (Why do people say that? It’s not a compliment.) I didn’t.  It was a wake up call, but one I ignored for years.

I made a series of bad decisions, became critical, cynical, and stuck in a marriage that didn’t work for me.  After years of being someone I didn’t like. I questioned everything and decided to burn it all down (literally NOT for reals). I walked away from it all, broke and broken, and lost everything. I mean everything – from my house to my car.  But, for the first time in my life, I felt free.

Emotionally free from shame, guilt, and thinking I had to do what I didn’t want to do.  Not anymore. I didn’t and you don’t either.

Freedom is glorious.

I freed myself from being silently angry at the world and being shameful of my size.  I became who I knew I was all along. You see my fat protected me and I was just too shy to reveal my true self to the world.  Being shy, wasn’t an option anymore.

With a lot of tears, laughter, wine, grit, and determination.  I created a new life that I LOVE and along the way I released 130 pounds and counting.

I’m a natural born introvert, but I’ll share my opinion from my heart if you want to know and with a little bit of sass.  I don’t like to workout (that doesn’t mean I can’t do a plank). I love cheese (isn’t that a food group?). You clicked over here for a reason, we were meant to meet. I believe, we’re going to get along famously.

I birthed (and yes, I mean birthed – because it’s painful to be vulnerable, to be real, to share my story, and my pain) The Bliss Codes out of my own weight loss journey and life experiences.

Really, I want to help you get beyond your weight, to discover what’s holding you back emotionally, and to become blissfully diet-free.  To liberate yourself, from the “I can’t eat that or I can’t do that.”

My offerings to you are support, guidance, inspiration, and useful tools that enable you to transform your relationship with eating and create new way to live that’s not focused on food, weight, anxiety, or self-loathing.  I’m committed to helping you find your bliss.

I promise you straight-talk,  a lil’ bit of hilarity, kindness (as kind as I can be when possible), and to be useful to you – like mega useful, right now.  If you’re in pain or frustrated and done with the same garbage advice, “eat less, move more, blah, blah, ad nauseum,” it’s USELESS and I can help you.

The simple truth is that you can only overcome emotional overeating and release weight when you overcome what’s really eating you and change how you approach your life as a whole.

For me “whole” means every part of my life which includes simplicity, deep thinking, laughter, family and creating programs that transform lives.  It also includes getting lost in art museums, traveling, old school rap, really decadent perfume, style, my obsessions with Ina Garten and Nigella Lawson, making the perfect omelette – every single time, British mystery dramas, wit, grace, and enjoying chocolate, cheese, and wine.   You can stop dieting, achieve your weight loss goals with ease and laughter, realize it’s all possible, and I’ll show you how.

I sincerely thank you that you’re still reading this love letter from me to you.  Now, since this is the beginning our relationship, I want you to know – even though I’m online –  I enjoy living offline, like A LOT.

So, if you want to be in my inner sanctum (I like that word so much better than inner circle, which makes me think of winner’s circle, which is circa 1998, but I digress,) we have to get a little personal and trade emails, click here to join the sanctum and grab your free audio training. (Sounds so official, right? It’s not, think chunky cable blankets, a warm fire, and a glass of wine.) Just enter your favorite name and best email address (the one you give your sister).

If you desire to take your life back, stop hiding, create a lifestyle change that blows any diet you’ve ever tried out of the water and feel better than you have in years, then I invite you (with an engraved gold-lettered invitation) to explore my free content, my paid online programs, my coaching program, and anything else I have to offer.

I want the writings, trainings, and tools I provide for you to make a real difference. I want to help you find joy in the process of releasing weight for good and make the journey is exciting and fit your one-of-a-kind life perfectly.

Whether you’ve lost and gain the same 100 pounds several times or you just need a helping hand to get you started, I’m your backup.  I’m here for you, take my hand – I’m in your corner and the universe is too.

With all my heart, guts, and love,

Alex Bradford
